The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) gave Puerto Vallarta the Safe Travels Stamp, in recognition to the strict biosecurity standards and protocols followed by tour operators, restaurants, hotels and main attractions in the destination, so you can travel safely.


Beaches, hotels, restaurants, bars, art galleries, shopping malls are open under strict safety and hygiene measures and protocols established by government agencies.



The public beaches are already open, however it is recommended to follow preventive measures such as social distancing, groups of no more than 8 people, use of face masks that can be removed once the recommended distance between group has been secured. In addition, it is suggested to sanitize chairs, lounge chairs and umbrellas before use, and not to share objects such as floats, balls, etc. Use face masks when accessing public toilets and sanitizing gel when entering and leaving.

General health and safety measures state that residents and visitors should wear masks in public places at all times, when using any kind of public transport, and when entering stores and establishments such as restaurants, galleries, supermarkets, churches, offices, and any kind of enclosed space.

Effective January 26th, 2021, all air travelers flying to Canada and the United States are required to present proof of a negative COVID-19 test administered within three days prior to their international departure. PCR Test
- Tests look for the virus's RNA in a nose or throat swab sample. This is the most accurate test.

Antigen Test - This test looks for specific proteins on the surface of the virus. Less accurate than the PCR test.

Antibody Test - Blood test that look for signs that a person has had an infection with the virus and had an immune response. These are not used to diagnose an active infection.

You identify yourself with your passport, in order to validate the data and confirm that they match, to prove that it is for an international passenger must show your flight or reservation to get the said cost, otherwise it will apply as others.
