Sayulita has become a popular destination to learn and practice surfing and is a small town located north of Puerto Vallarta and Bucerias. Tourists also enjoy snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, longboarding, fishing, hiking or horseback riding and just chilling out!
From November to April you can enjoy watching humpback whales in this area, which come to these waters to have their young. Every summer turtles arrive at the beaches of Sayulita to spawn. The eggs are protected at the Sayulita Tortuguero Camp, where they are released.
Enjoy eating some fresh seafood right on the beach, try shrimp, dorado, marlin or red snapper, which you can enjoy in various restaurants. There are also galleries and shops where you can buy jewelry, paintings, clothing and handicrafts. Friday is tianguis day, Revolución street becomes the Mercado del Pueblo, with local and regional organic products, on Sundays in Las Gaviotas street you will find everything from hats and bags to sculptures.
